Forgot your password or need to change it? This guide will walk you through the password reset process.
Resetting a Forgotten Password
Step 1: Go to the Login Page
Navigate to simcare.com and click the "Log In" button.
Step 2: Click "Forgot Password"
Below the password field, you'll see a "Forgot Password?" or "Reset Password" link. Click it.
Step 3: Enter Your Email
- Type the email address associated with your SimCare account
- Make sure you use the exact email you registered with
- Click "Send Reset Link" or "Submit"
Step 4: Check Your Email
Within a few minutes, you should receive an email with subject line like "Reset Your SimCare Password."
- Check your inbox
- Check spam/junk folder if you don't see it
- The email comes from
noreply@simcare.ai
Step 5: Click the Reset Link
- Open the email and click the password reset link
- The link is valid for 24 hours
- You'll be taken to a page to create a new password
Step 6: Create New Password
Your new password must include:
- At least 8 characters
- One uppercase letter (A-Z)
- One lowercase letter (a-z)
- One number (0-9)
- Optional: Special characters (!@#$%^&*) for extra security
Step 7: Confirm and Log In
- Enter your new password twice to confirm
- Click "Reset Password" or "Change Password"
- You'll be redirected to the login page
- Log in with your email and new password

If You Remember Your Current Password
- Log into your SimCare account
- Click your profile icon or name in the top-right
- Select "Account Settings" or "Profile"
- Find the "Change Password" section
- Enter your current password
- Enter your new password twice
- Click "Update Password" or "Save Changes"
Troubleshooting
Didn't Receive Reset Email
Wait a Few Minutes
Emails can take 5-10 minutes to arrive. Be patient before requesting another.
Check Spam Folder
Password reset emails sometimes get filtered as spam. Check all your email folders.
Verify Email Address
Make sure you're using the exact email you registered with. Common issues:
- Using personal email instead of school email (or vice versa)
- Typos in the email address
- Using an old email that's no longer active
Add to Safe Senders
Add noreply@simcare.ai to your email contacts or safe senders list, then request the reset email again.
Request New Link
You can request multiple reset emails. Each new link invalidates the previous one.
Reset Link Expired
Password reset links are valid for 24 hours. If yours expired:
- Go back to the "Forgot Password" page
- Request a new reset link
- Use it promptly (within 24 hours)
Password Doesn't Meet Requirements

Can't Remember Which Email You Used
If you're unsure which email address you registered with:
- Try all email addresses you commonly use
- Check old emails for SimCare registration confirmation
- Contact your program administrator (they can look up your account)
- Email support at tiko@simcare.ai with your name and institution
Password Security Tips
Creating a Strong Password
- Use a unique password (don't reuse from other sites)
- Make it memorable but not guessable
- Consider using a passphrase: "MyClinic2024Training!"
- Avoid personal information (birthday, name, etc.)
Keeping Your Account Secure
- Don't share your password with others
- Don't write it down in plain sight
- Use a password manager to store it securely
- Change your password if you suspect it's been compromised
- Log out when using shared computers

Consider using a password manager like:
- 1Password
- LastPass
- Bitwarden
- Your browser's built-in password manager
Account Locked or Disabled
Too Many Failed Login Attempts
After several incorrect password attempts, your account may be temporarily locked for security:
- Wait 15-30 minutes before trying again
- Use the "Forgot Password" option to reset
- Contact support if you're still locked out
Account Deactivated
If your account was deactivated (e.g., program ended):
- Contact your institution's program administrator
- Accounts can usually be reactivated
- Your session history is preserved
